GrandView Aviation Becomes WYVERN Wingman PRO

Middle River, Maryland – GrandView Aviation has been awarded WYVERN Wingman PRO certification after achieving excellence in association with ongoing participation in WYVERN’s Flight Leader Program (FLP). Wingman PRO validates organizational safety culture utilizing the most advanced safety culture evaluation tools recognized by safety experts and regulatory bodies worldwide. A safety benchmark set above WYVERN’s flagship Wingman program; Wingman PRO is the aviation industry’s highest safety standard.

“Grandview’s mission is ‘Setting the New Standard in Private Aviation’, and earning this elite Wingman PRO designation validates and further distinguishes our stellar reputation among U.S. private charter operators. It’s worth noting that out of the hundreds of Wingman certified operators, GrandView Aviation is only the 15th designated as WYVERN Wingman PRO”, states Manny Figlia, GrandView’s director of safety. Figlia goes on to say “GrandView Aviation’s robust safety culture is the backbone of our company, and every single team member is an indispensable contributor – our pilots and instructors, maintenance and quality assurance teams, operational control center, sales team and support staff.”

WYVERN Wingman PRO is issued once an already established Wingman operator demonstrates effectiveness in all areas of SMS, excellence in the addressing of Human Factors and Organizational Safety Culture, and continuous conformity to international standards by way of an internal audit program.

“We applaud GrandView Aviation’s accomplishment as a Wingman PRO Operator, which signifies the organization’s commitment to embracing safety as a core value. Wingman PRO Operators not only conform to international standards, they also embrace transparency with their safety data so end users can trust their decisions,” says Andrew Day, WYVERN’s Senior Vice President of operations.
